Constant Contact Acquires Key Education and Event Assets From GURU Media Hub:Constant Contact, an all-in-one digital marketing platform used by thousands of small businesses and nonprofits, has announced the acquisition of select education and event assets from GURU Media Hub. The move expands Constant Contact’s presence in practical, results-driven marketing education and community-focused learning.

The transaction includes GURU Conference, described as the world’s largest virtual email marketing event, SubjectLine.com, a widely used subject line rating and testing platform, and Certified GURU, a growing marketing education and certification program used by marketers globally. These assets will be integrated into the Constant Contact ecosystem, with the aim of extending their reach while continuing to deliver data-driven insights and real-world marketing strategies.

Strengthening Education and Community for Small Businesses

GURU Conference is known for its high-energy programming and focus on measurable marketing outcomes. By bringing these education and event properties into its portfolio, Constant Contact is seeking to further connect its marketing tools with actionable guidance designed for small and midsize businesses.

The company stated that the acquisition enhances its ability to support customers not only with technology, but also with education and community engagement that help marketers apply best practices with confidence.

Leadership and Continued Creative Direction

As part of the agreement, Jay Schwedelson, founder of GURU Media Hub, will take on the role of Brand Ambassador at Constant Contact. In this position, Schwedelson will continue to lead the creative vision and operations of GURU Conference and collaborate with Constant Contact on content, education, and engagement initiatives focused on improving marketing performance across channels.

GURU Media Hub to Operate Independently

Following the transaction, GURU Media Hub will continue to operate independently, with Schwedelson maintaining leadership over its ongoing growth and creative direction. The company will continue developing education-focused initiatives alongside its collaboration with Constant Contact.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Industry observers note that the acquisition reflects a broader trend in digital marketing toward combining software platforms with education, events, and community-building to help small businesses achieve more consistent results in an increasingly complex marketing environment.
