Omnicom Media MENA Restructures Operations: Omnicom Media MENA has announced the promotion of seasoned media executive Wissam Najjar to the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), marking a significant step in the organization’s ongoing transformation across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The move comes as the company introduces a new operating model designed to strengthen collaboration, accelerate innovation, and deliver greater value to clients.

Najjar, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer, will now oversee investment, trading, partnerships, commercial strategy, investment operations, and forecasting. His expanded responsibilities reflect the growing importance of integrating commercial functions to help clients navigate an increasingly complex media landscape.

According to Omnicom Media MENA, the restructuring is part of a broader global transformation aimed at creating stronger alignment across markets while enhancing performance and accountability. The new model will bring specialist talent and capabilities closer together, enabling faster knowledge sharing, greater consistency, and more effective execution across the region.
Elda Choucair, CEO of Omnicom Media MENA, emphasized that the transformation is focused on helping clients move faster, make more confident decisions, and achieve stronger business outcomes in a rapidly evolving media environment.
Najjar brings more than two decades of industry experience to the role. Throughout his career with Omnicom, he has played a pivotal role in expanding operations across the MENA region, strengthening partnerships, and driving operational excellence. He has previously led the network’s expansion into markets including Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, and Kuwait while helping establish a culture of innovation and performance.
Commenting on his appointment, Najjar highlighted the importance of connecting commercial capabilities across markets, noting that scale delivers its greatest advantage when expertise, partnerships, and investments are integrated effectively.
The transformation further reinforces Omnicom Media’s centralized operating structure, supporting agency brands such as OMD, PHD, Hearts & Science, and other specialist businesses operating across the region. The company believes the new framework will enable clients to access specialist expertise more efficiently and apply best practices consistently across diverse markets.
Industry observers view the appointment as a strategic move that positions Omnicom Media MENA for continued growth as brands increasingly demand measurable business outcomes, data-driven decision-making, and integrated media solutions. With Najjar at the commercial helm, the organization aims to strengthen its leadership position in one of the world’s fastest-evolving media and advertising markets.
As the MENA advertising and media sector continues to expand, Omnicom Media’s latest leadership changes signal a renewed focus on operational excellence, innovation, and client-centric growth across the region.
