Zee Appoints Siju Prabhakaran as Chief Business Officer of Zee5: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (Z) has announced the appointment of Siju Prabhakaran as the Chief Business Officer of its digital entertainment platform, Zee5. In his new role, Prabhakaran will shape and execute Zee5’s business strategy across India and global markets. He will directly report to Amit Goenka, President – Digital Business & Platforms, International Linear Business, Enterprise Technology and Broadcast Operations & Engineering.
With nearly two decades of experience at Zee, Prabhakaran has consistently delivered growth. He spearheaded the South cluster of linear TV channels, which became a strong growth driver for the broadcast segment. Moreover, he played a key role in driving localized content strategies in major markets such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi. These efforts significantly enhanced audience engagement and expanded Zee’s reach across both linear and digital businesses.
Moving forward, Prabhakaran will focus on nurturing synergies between Zee’s linear and digital businesses. By seamlessly integrating content and technology, he aims to provide viewers with a more engaging and personalized entertainment experience. In addition, he will design a strong monetization roadmap for Zee5’s next growth phase, with a clear emphasis on profitability and performance.
