Mathrubhumi Group Wins Global Honours at Golden Award of Montreux 2026: Mathrubhumi Group has earned international acclaim at the prestigious Golden Award of Montreux 2026, marking a major milestone for the Kerala-based media house on the global stage.

The group’s flagship intellectual property initiative, Kappa CULTR 2026, secured a Gold Award in the Consumer/Public Events category. Meanwhile, its knowledge-driven platform OBSVR (Observe, Verify, Reveal) received a Finalist Certificate for the documentary Edakkal Caves: Great Indian Heritage in the Corporate Film (Tourism Films) category.

Mathrubhumi emerged as the only Indian media organization to receive this distinction at the event, even as India recorded an impressive performance overall with five gold medals across categories.

Commenting on the achievement, Mayura Shreyams Kumar, Director – Digital Business, said the recognition reflects the team’s commitment to meaningful and authentic storytelling.

The Golden Award of Montreux is widely regarded as a significant platform in the global creative calendar, celebrating excellence across advertising, digital, and media categories. This year’s jury included industry leaders from 17 countries, comprising CEOs of advertising agencies, creative directors, and global marketing heads.
A total of 43 Gold medals were awarded in 2026, including 38 in the main competition and five under the Talent Awards category, underscoring the scale and competitiveness of the event.
With this global recognition, Mathrubhumi continues to strengthen its international presence, driven by innovative platforms and storytelling rooted in India’s rich cultural heritage.
