Winners of Prestigious African Marketing Confederation Awards Revealed in Accra:The winners of the prestigious 2025 African Marketing Confederation (AMC) Awards were announced during a glittering banquet dinner on the final night of the annual AMC conference in Accra. The three-day event, held from August 20-22, brought together marketing leaders from across the continent to celebrate innovation, creativity, and excellence.

This year, the awards received more than 60 entries from member countries, showcasing the continent’s growing influence in global marketing. An independent judging panel carefully reviewed all submissions before selecting the winners.

Judges Praise the Quality of Entries

Helen McIntee-Carlisle, AMC President and co-founder, emphasized the impressive calibre of the submissions.
“With nominations from across Africa, the judges faced a difficult task in choosing the winners. The entries highlighted the best marketing talent and innovation the continent has to offer,” she stated.

The awards reflected the conference’s central theme — “Thriving in Africa’s Evolving Markets: Trust, Trends, and Technology”. According to McIntee-Carlisle, the winners demonstrated mastery of these elements, proving that African marketers are at the forefront of global industry trends.

Recognising Exceptional Work

AMC Secretary General, David Balikuddembe, told guests that the awards night was more than a celebration; it was a recognition of transformative work.
“Some of the campaigns we saw touched lives, boosted businesses, and grew entire economies. Everyone who submitted work for judgment is a winner tonight,” he said.

He also noted the growth of the awards since their humble beginnings in Uganda with just two categories. “Today, we celebrate many categories and a significant rise in entries, which reflects the sector’s rapid evolution,” he added.

A Higher Standard Than Ever

Jury President Emuron Alemu echoed these sentiments, pointing out that the 2025 awards drew more entries than in 2024 and set a new benchmark for quality.
“We received better case studies, stronger stories, and more compelling campaign videos. For the first time, we also introduced an automated online judging platform, ensuring transparency and accuracy,” Alemu explained.
