Moonfolks Launches Operations in Brunei, Expands Southeast Asia Footprint: Independent advertising agency Moonfolks has officially launched its operations in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, becoming one of the first international agencies to establish a presence in the Southeast Asian nation.

The agency inaugurated its Brunei office on 23 February, a symbolic date that coincides with Brunei’s National Day, celebrating the country’s 42nd year of independence in 2026. The launch marks the beginning of Moonfolks’ broader regional expansion strategy across Southeast Asia.

Moonfolks aims to introduce its signature “Accelerated Growth” model to the Bruneian market. The integrated approach combines branding and advertising with social and digital strategies, influencer marketing, public relations, as well as shopper and brand activations designed to drive stronger consumer engagement and commercial outcomes.

Speaking about the expansion, Anish Daryani, Founder and CEO of Moonfolks, said the company sees significant potential in the Brunei market.

“We are thrilled to begin our regional expansion with Brunei. It’s a country of ambitious brands that have been denied strong brand thinking for the longest time. We believe we can offer strategic direction and creative solutions of international standards to brands in Brunei, who are extremely deserving of it,” Daryani said.

He further revealed that Moonfolks plans to expand into additional Southeast Asian markets in the near future, positioning the agency as a growing regional player in the advertising and marketing landscape.

The Brunei operation will be led by Sheikh Idham Abas, who has joined the agency as Managing Partner. Abas brings extensive experience and a strong connection to the local creative industry.

“Brands in Brunei have truly come of age, and with Moonfolks, they can have brand solutions of the highest class made available to them. I have always been associated with the creative industry, and I’m glad that with Moonfolks, I can play an active role in uplifting the creative standards in the country,” Abas said.

With its entry into Brunei, Moonfolks aims to collaborate with local businesses and emerging brands, helping them compete at international standards while contributing to the growth of the country’s creative and advertising ecosystem.
