point.me launches ‘Explore’ to simplify award travel with interactive maps, smarter searches, and personalized loyalty tracking: Award travel platform point.me has unveiled Explore, a new interactive map-based discovery tool designed to help travelers find the best flight deals using airline miles and credit card reward points. The launch marks a significant expansion of the company’s platform, transforming it from an award flight search engine into a comprehensive travel rewards hub aimed at making points and miles easier for everyday travelers to understand and use.

The new Explore feature allows users to search for award flight opportunities without first selecting a specific destination. Instead, travelers can browse an interactive global map showing real-time award pricing across regions, compare flexible travel dates using a calendar heat map, and filter results by airline loyalty programs and eligible credit card rewards. The goal is to help users discover destinations where their existing points can deliver the greatest value.

One of the platform’s most notable innovations is its side-by-side comparison of three booking options: the cash airfare, the number of points required through a credit card travel portal, and the number of points needed after transferring rewards to an airline loyalty program. According to point.me, some transfer options can reduce the points required by as much as 90 percent, helping travelers maximize the value of their rewards.

The company says the launch addresses a growing problem in the travel industry. While more than 70 percent of Americans hold rewards-earning credit cards, billions of dollars worth of travel rewards go unused each year because many consumers find airline loyalty programs confusing or difficult to navigate. By simplifying the redemption process, point.me hopes to encourage more travelers to unlock the full value of their accumulated points and miles.

Another major addition is My Points, a digital loyalty wallet that allows users to securely connect their credit card and airline loyalty accounts. The feature displays available reward balances, estimates their cash value, and shows only those award flights that users can actually afford with their current points. If additional points are needed, the platform also calculates exactly how many more are required for a booking.

Brian Kelly, founder of The Points Guy and an investor in point.me, said the new platform makes award travel far more accessible. “With the launch of Explore, point.me is opening the world of traveling on points to people who may have assumed it was too complicated for them. I’ve spent my career helping people earn and maximize their points, and Explore is the tool I wish existed when I started.”

Adam Morvitz, CEO and Founder of point.me, said the company wants travelers to view their loyalty rewards as a valuable financial asset rather than an unused benefit. “At point.me, we aim to help all travelers realize their points are worth far more than they think. This launch marks point.me’s evolution from a search tool into a complete travel hub that helps everyday travelers earn smarter, find better deals, unlock premium cabins for significantly fewer points, and travel more often than they ever thought possible.”

Founded in 2022, point.me supports more than 150 airline loyalty and credit card reward programs and partners with financial institutions to integrate travel redemption tools into banking and fintech platforms. The company has been recognized by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies and continues to expand its suite of travel planning and loyalty management services.
