IIMCAA Announces Winners of 10th IIMCAA Awards at 14th Connections Meet in Delhi:The Indian Institute of Mass Communication Alumni Association (IIMCAA) announced the winners of the 10th IIMCAA Awards during the inaugural session of its 14th annual Connections Meet in Delhi, celebrating outstanding contributions in journalism, advertising, public relations and public service.

The IIMCAA Awards 2026 highlight the remarkable journey and professional achievements of alumni across diverse media and communication domains. Each award category is crafted to recognise excellence — from investigative journalism and creative storytelling to broadcasting, digital innovation and strategic public relations.

Organisers described the awards as a platform that not only honours professional distinction but also reinforces the values of ethical reporting, impactful communication and public engagement.

Journalist of the Year and Jury Awards

In the prestigious Jury Awards category, Soumya Pillai was named Journalist of the Year, recognising exceptional reporting and influence in the field.

Other notable winners at the IIMCAA Awards 2026 included:

  • Safeena Wani – Print Reporting
  • Medha Yadav – Broadcast Reporting
  • Mohammad Asad – Producer
  • Saurav Kumar Borah – Print Reporting

  • Tanzil Asif – Independent Journalist (Digital Video)
  • Hasleen Kaur – Ad Person
  • Panchanan Mishra – PR Person of the Year

Special Mentions were awarded to Gargy Satapathy, Nantha Kishore G K, and Garima Singh for their noteworthy contributions.

Cash prizes for awardees ranged from ₹10,000 to ₹1.5 lakh, further underlining the association’s commitment to encouraging media excellence.

Alumni of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Honours

Among the major recognitions, actor Chandan Roy and journalist Abhinav Pandey were honoured as Alumni of the Year for their impactful contributions to their respective fields.
